Open for Business!

Years back while I was still pouring coffee in my sleepy little suburban town, one of our regular customers randomly told me she envisioned me becoming a small business owner. Barely in my twenties and not yet done with college I chuckled, brushed it off, continued making lattes as if the idea couldn't be further from the truth. After all, to my mind I was destined to teach college level history! How could I possibly have time to start a business, let alone what kind of business she imagined I'd be starting, when I would be instructing future generations about the past and its relationship to the present? It borders on the bizarre, or more appropriately the surreal, to think of this as a small business or myself as a small business owner, but with the launch of this venture and this website it's difficult to describe it any other way.
So welcome! As my business continues to grow, every Tuesday this blog will serve as a weekly exploration of my life as a voice-over artist and impressionist, but also as an opportunity to get to know me and my story on a more personal level. Additionally, each week I'll be crafting an "Impression of the Week" each Thursday to showcase my talent and love of bringing voices to life, so feel free to suggest a voice or character you would like to hear me voice. In the weeks to come I hope to be heard out on the airwaves, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with any and all out there in search of a voice for their project.
